The wedding cake Janell made for us was one of the most beautiful cakes we had ever seen or tasted! Everyone at our receptions wanted to know who had created our cake. Janelle started out by scheduling a "tasting" with us where we were able to taste at least 8 different cakes and they were all delicious. She was very easy to work with and listened to exactly what we wanted; our cake turned out even more amazing than we had envisioned. One Sweet Slice is an amazing company run by an amazingly talented woman! The wedding cakes are not only gorgeous but taste amazing too. I am pretty sure she can create just about anything you request. My husband and I had a Wedding Party in Salt Lake City in March 2009 and One Sweet Slice provided three cakes for which she provided separate pedestals for and were absolutely incredible. The service is amazing and we had a truly great experience. If only I were having our son in SLC I'd order a baby cake! Wish you delivered to Monterey, CA!

I have two words describing my wedding cake, "Absolute Perfection"!
Janell not only created a cake that replicated exactly what I wanted, she also added her personal touches (she's so creative) that made the cake even more beautiful. I received many compliments throughout the reception & the following days after my wedding on how great the cake was. =)
On a business level, Janell was so nice & very easy to work with. Since I was an out-of-town bride planning my Utah wedding from a far, she always made herself available when I came into town to discuss my cake. She is very passionate with what she does & wants to create exactly what you want. You don't find very many people like that now a days.
As for the taste of the cake, let me tell you something. My mother is the most pickiest person I know when it comes to taste. We went to quite a few cake tasting where the results were dissatisfying . When we came to Janell, the moment she tasted the cakes, she was instantly impressed. Janell even went out of her way to create a custom almond fondant that complimented the cake's flavors and fitted into the theme of my wedding.
All in all, I would absolutely recommend Janell to anyone.
Thanks so much Janell, you are definitely a diamond in the ruff when it comes to cakes. Glad my sister found you. =)
